I recalled my Boston University School For the Arts training in the current exhibition Hyman Bloom: Matters of Life and Death at the Boston Museum of Fine Arts. It was a privilege to review his work more than 50 years later for Art & Object.

While I've written about the innumerable films made about history's "great" male artists filmmakers have been reluctant to explore the lives of women artists. However, after some digging, I can offer a small selection in my most recent Watch This/Not That feature for Art & Object. Check it out here:

Had great fun reviewing MFA Boston's Gender-Bending Fashion exhibition for Art & Object. Thanks to my dear friend and MFA staffer Carolyn Cruthirds, I got the insider's view of this timely show the last time I was in Boston. I'm open to arguments about whether or not fashion deserves a place inside the hallowed halls of the MFA.
